Why do online salesman have better deals then on the lot?

I’ve been asking for some price quotes online from the dealership and i’ve noticed something. The prices seem WAY better then what they cost in person. For instance on edmunds this is what the total was WITH rebates :

Customer Cash Adjusted True Market Value $27,145+tax

From a online dealer the price is $26,999+tax

And another have the Sale Price as: $ 25,042 + tax

Also the rebates was - Online Discount: $ 3,948

Why are these rebates so good and why does it sound like such a good deal? I haven’t even trying to bargain or anything that was the first quote, I’am very confused.

PLEASE HELP!
