Great Online Bargain Shopping

I saw this puppy online and sort of fall in love with him. The main one that I really want has been sold. The others were the same price, but I’m not sure about paying the same for them (its a little bit higher than my budget). The place is about 3 hours away from where I live. I didn’t want to bargain price on the phone, I want to see the puppies first and see if I really like him. I didn’t want to be rude, but I think the price should be a little bit lower. I’m not sure what to say or not even sure if it’s rude to ask to lower the price? I know it’s like an investment, and this puppy would be my companion for a long time.
oh, and this’s from the breeder not the rescue place. I’d not ask to lower the price if i want to adopt a dog from a rescue place. The breeder that I’m talking about have their website with the price set on each dog. What should I say when I want to ask and not be rude?
